Frequently asked questions
01
No , absolutely not, everyone is welcome. Most people start with little or no experience. You will soon pick it up and find how pottery is a journey that develops and evolves as you learn what happens during the making and firing processes .
02
Yes indeed! The majority of people do join on their own . The classes are very friendly and a large number have been coming a while so their work will inspire you. The classes are mixed ages, abilities and men and women.
03
Yes, of course. Please be aware that as classes already run in the evenings individual lessons are only available during the daytime Monday-Wednesdays. I also book two Saturdays/weekends a month but this does get booked ahead.
04
I have 4 wheels available at the studio so this is the maximum. As the studio is small to accommodate 4 wheels the tables will be put aside so if throwing and handbuilding is required then only 2 wheels will be available but this can be worked into a 3hr workshop splitting the time on the wheel with time handbuilding.
05
12yrs for workshops booked with just children. An Individual lesson can be booked from 10yrs or if the child is accompanied by 1-3 adults as part of an introductory lesson or family workshop.
Sorry I do not offer lessons for under 10's.
06
Unfortunately due to the evening classes I cannot do after school lessons. If you are wanting to book your child in then I advise booking ahead for a school holiday time when they can come during the daytime.
07
All workshops are for ages 12yrs +
Groups of 4 can throw and/handbuild , groups of 8 can handbuild only.
The studio is not big enough for more than one adult to stay so drop off and pick up only.
All participants must be over 12 yrs.

Yes, I can do e-vouchers to send to you. These are for experiences, workshops and prints only. I DO NOT do vouchers for a place on evening classes as I can never say when a place will be become available .
